As the driving force behind recruitment at InnLegal, Ellie uses her extensive network and industry expertise to help Chambers and Law firms build exceptional teams.
With over a decade of experience, she began her career as a Barristers’ Clerk in Lincoln’s Inn, working for one of the leading sets at the Commercial Bar. A passionate advocate for mental health, Ellie serves as an ambassador for SHOUT and Young Minds. She is also an active member of the solicitor/clerks netball league, with Inn Legal as a proud sponsor. Ellie was recently recognised for her leadership with a Highly Commended award for Business Leader of the Year at the Women and Diversity in Law Awards 2025. Outside of work, she has a love for travel and sunshine - whether it’s discovering new restaurants, unwinding with a book by the sea, or making the most of golden hour somewhere beautiful.

As a qualified recruitment specialist and employability consultant, Penny focuses on helping graduates and school leavers access the legal profession.
With an extensive background in employability consultancy, she works with a number of schools to encourage accessibility and diversity within the legal arena. Penny has a strong drive to improve gender misrepresentation in the workplace and brings this passion and her expertise to InnLegal where she will assist with business development and recruitment processes. With a real zest for life, outside of work Penny can be found either walking Hugo (her rather cute mini- sausage dog), trundling away in the motorhome (chasing the sun) or planning the next trip to uncharted waters!
